Help Maintain Fraternities
It is true that I was graduated nearly 50 years ago (1967), but a major part of my education was in the fraternity I belonged to (SAE). I learned to live with other folks and to manage my own life. Interpersonal skills, which were learned predominately within the fraternity, were a major part of success during my career. I know that President Vest had a difficult time with some fraternities due to the untimely death of Scott Kruger. Nevertheless, my fraternity experience was positive and a major influence after graduation. Please remember student life as you work through the MIT of the future.
As an aside, I have taken an astronomy course via the internet and found it quite useful. Remember, however, that it takes excellent motivation to watch classes on the internet and to do the problems. It was easy to let the problems slide, which made learning more difficult.
