To offer power engineering courses, which existed in the past, in order train future electrical engineers in designing more efficient electrical power grid; as well as improving the efficiency of present power grid and enhancing their stability (preventing black-outs and brown-outs). Courses should also stimulate future electrical engineers to develop novel power transmission concepts. Although there is much emphasis on development of new energy sources, very little is done in more efficient utilization of existing sources.

Way too much power is wasted in electrical power transmission from electricity generators to customers.
