I can imaging taking one professor, placing him in a community college with 20 (excellent) students and giving him full access to the online courses. In 4 years and with a few bucks for the professor’s time and for class projects, you could have 20 engineers with college educations. You could probably find local community members with pressing needs to foot some of the bill. You would have 20 full time engineers spending their junior/senior year solving a real-world problem. Yes, it would take the right professor and the right students, but if done right it would make a college education practically free.
